My artwork focuses on subtleties in form, color and movement. I try to show the viewer beauty in simple organic images and shapes while using instinct rather than deliberate calculated decisions.

Art on Silk
Last year I was lucky to meet an artist in the lobby of an Artsy hotel who was teaching how to paint with ink on a silk scarf. I told him I was an artist with no fear of color so he let me use as many of his colors as I wanted and left me alone for an hour. It was amazing! The ink flows and moves so freely. I would like to do it again sometime.
Process of Green Painting
Here is another painting that has evolved as I worked on it. The dominant green has a calming effect.
Process of a Painting
As I work on a piece, my initial thought of what it will look like ususlly morphs into something slightly different. This time my painting decided that it had been upside down the whole time I was working on it. I get into a strange focused mental state and take my painting to where it wants to go.
